So we had to do an in-class exercise where Jeanna an I were tasked with taking one photo every minute for an hour in the same spot, so essentially doing time-lapse photography. The results of our first try were not very good. Since we didn’t have a tripod the camera moved around quite a bit, and we were very inconsistent with the timing of our shots, so when we put the shots in sequence the movement was irregular. We decided that we would try again on our own.
At home I had a tripod, so I was able to use it to stablize the shots. I wanted to shoot something that would change drastically in terms of light, over an hour. So I decided to photograph the sunset. I shot the photos from my balcony facing west around 6:30 to 7:30. Here are the results:
I thought that this was too dark. It turned out that what I estimated the lighting would be was not what it ended up being. So, I decided to give it another try the next day, here’s the result:
In the end, I’m not sure which I like better. The lighting in the second attempt is better, but I think the first attempt is more visually interesting.
